The Fashion Lover’s 2025 IYKYK Gift Guide

The holiday season is upon us once again, and gifting somehow feels more challenging than ever. An especially tough person to shop for? The fashion lover in your life. But who better to advise on gift ideas than fellow fashion lovers and (self-admitted) difficult giftees?

For the third consecutive year, we’ve compiled a list of gifts that we will be giving (or hopefully receiving!) this holiday season, spanning clothing, accessories, beauty, and wellness. Want to know what “if you know you know” perfume, tote bags, sneakers, eyeliner, and even toe rings—yes, that’s right!—Vogue staffers are obsessed with? Scroll on!

Here, read Vogue’s 2025 IYKYK gift guide.

Protect the Dolls T-Shirt

American designer Conner Ives wasn’t expecting to go viral with this powerful political statement. But after Ives took his bow after his fall 2025 show in London, celebrities followed suit, with Pedro Pascal, Troye Sivan, Naomi Watts, and Tilda Swinton all repping the tee. You, too, can show your support for trans women—or gift it to your most politically active loved one.

Everyday Glam

Utilitarian gifts aren’t exactly the most thrilling, but they are the ones we reach for over and over again. Why not give your loved one the gift of an elevated beauty routine? Something as simple as Victoria Beckham’s silky smooth eyeliner or a Chanel compact with the interlocking Cs is bound to brighten up the morning.

Button-Back Jewelry

Forget East-West and oval solitaires: 2026 will be the year of the button-back—a bezel-meets-pronged setting. Jessica McCormack has proven herself the jeweler du jour among the celebrity set, from Zoë Kravitz and Dakota Johnson’s red carpet accessories to Zendaya’s engagement ring. Other brands scratch the same itch for a lower price—Dorsey’s drop earrings with the blackened setting are a favorite in the Vogue office.

Keep It Fresh

Listen, we love Mojave Ghost as much as the next person (it’s a modern classic for a reason!), but sometimes we need to switch up our scents. Loewe’s new Iris Root caters to the floral lovers out there, who prefer a light, powdery fragrance, while the cedarwood and leather notes in Maison d’Etto’s Rotano might appeal to fans of woodier notes.

Sneakerinas

This year, the sneakerina rose from the ashes of years of Samba supremacy. Brands across the price spectrum are hopping aboard the trend, Frankenstein-ing an endless variety of sneakers and ballet flats. Dua Lipa favors the Mary-Jane style Pumas, while Chloë Sevigny has championed the GORP-y lace-up ECCOs. For those keen to keep it closer to traditional territory, dip a toe in with Harry Styles’s preferred Prada nylon slip-ons or Bella Hadid’s satin Vivaias. No matter your preference, now is the time to hop aboard the sneakerina train.

Bedtime Must-Haves

It seems like we’re always dodging claims about the next big thing for our nighttime routine—have we finally recovered from mouth tape propaganda? But there’s nothing complicated about setting your skin up for success. We love a dollop of Reframe’s Circadian Cream before bedtime for smooth skin come morning, and Rhode’s peptide patches for an undereye refresh.

Status Baseball Caps

What better way to combat a bad hair day than with a baseball cap? Take it one step further with a status hat that broadcasts your interests across like a forehead billboard. Greta Lee and Timothée Chalamet are both partial to the New York City Ballet hat, while Kaia Gerber cheekily shouts out Cole Escola.

Toe Bling

We love a freaky shoe here at Vogue (see below), but have you ever considered expanding to your toes? Chan Luu and Aflalo are two of the brands betting on toe adornments in 2026. Also in their company? Jennifer Lawrence, who recently accessorized her black-and-white Lii dress with a slew of silver rings across her phalanges.

Monogrammed Tote Bag

You can never go wrong with a monogrammed tote. But if you’re looking to shake up your boat and tote, we love this Alex Mill weekender. Not only does this everything-but-the-kitchen-sink bag fit everything you need (and more), its colorful block lettering offers a lively take on a classic monogram.

Sexy, Freaky Shoes

There’s nothing we love here at Vogue like a freaky little shoe. It is, after all, the quickest way to add a little intrigue to an outfit. Our favorites? The up-and-coming brand Jude (who counts Chloë Sevigny, Emma Stone, and Tracee Ellis Ross among its fans), which has a knack for showing off a perfect little sliver of toe. Also beloved is Tory Burch’s ever-growing collection of twisted, pierced, and peep-toed pieces. This, plus a toe ring, and you’re ready for 2026.

Infrared Technology

Can’t make it to the spa? Bring the spa to you with a suite of red light treatments. Unwind after a workout underneath an infrared blanket, or skip the cumbersome red light mask in favor of a quick and easy wand. You’ll feel refreshed in no time.
