Rih has now turned her hand to one of the breakout trends of the summer—the scarf as skirt. It’s a look that’s dominated both celebrity and street style, from Copenhagen Fashion Week to the streets of Brooklyn, as seen on Kylie Jenner in Tuscany, Jennifer Lawrence in NYC, Alexa Chung in London, and Vogue editors internationally.
Photographed out running errands in Beverly Hills with Rocky, Rihanna wore an oversized white t-shirt with a graphic silk scarf in stripes of red, blue, pink, orange, and yellow, with gold print details. The skirt was tied at the waist, hiked up from her knee to her hip to keep things easy breezy. She styled the look with a multi-colored, embroidered vintage Fendi baguette bag, pronged, cleat-like white jelly sandals from her recent collab with Puma, cat-eye sunglasses, and layers of gold necklaces, including a favorite Renato Cipullo “R” pendant.
It’s not a full Rihanna look without a rare bag of some kind either, and this time, she delved into her collection of Fendi baguettes. This one, in orange, green, and blue sequin and lizard skin, fetches on resale for around $2K.
While most celebrities are slowly leaning into their fall wardrobe staples—layers slowly returning, skants abounding—Rihanna continues to revel in summer style.
