We know Jennifer Lopez for many things: her rom-coms, her singing career (“On the Floor” feat. Pitbull in particular), and her decades-spanning entanglement with ex-husband and Kiss of the Spider Woman executive producer Ben Affleck. We don’t, however, typically think of her as an authority on workwear.
But today, at The Hollywood Reporter’s 2025 Women In Entertainment Gala, J.Lo reached back to her corporate roots (pre-fame, she worked as a paralegal!) and offered her take on business attire: a sharp-shouldered chocolate brown blazer with a sloping, asymmetrical lapel and matching below-the-knee skirt.
While Lopez’s skirt suit would be perfectly acceptable in a business environment, her styling choices made it decidedly NSFW—in particular, the fact that she eschewed a shirt. The star draped a pair of gold Bvlgari Tubogas chokers across her décolletage, one with lapis lazuli and turquoise embellishments, and added an Old Hollywood-glam touch to her look with black cateye sunglasses; a pair of nude, pointy-toe pumps; and a brown croc envelope clutch.
Leave it to Jennifer Lopez to model an outfit that works from 8 to 8—Just be sure to bring a bag that can fit your work shirt.
